Welcome to Port Dickson International Triathlon

Port Dickson is a beach resort destination at Negeri Sembilan in Malaysia, about 90km south from Kuala Lumpur and 30km away from Seremban. Also called 'PD' by locals, this popular holiday retreat is located within easy reach from KL and Singapore by major highways and roads. From PD's town center, a coastline of warm beaches and calm seas stretches along a 10-mile strip towards Malacca.

The most popular beach zones along this stretch are Teluk Kemang, Blue Lagoon, Bagan Pinang, Pantai Purnama and Pantai Cahaya Negeri, supported by major hotels, resorts and apartments that offer budget and luxury family accommodation.

Port Dickson International Triathlon 2018 is the 17th edition. This event was first started in 2002. Triathletes of all ages race along coastline of Port Dickson popular beaches, highway and "kampung" roads with mild rolling hills.

4. Once payment is made (via iPay88), a race confirmation will be sent by email immediately. For Manual bank-in payment, a race confirmation will be sent within 2 working days.

5. Those who did not make payment within 5 days after registration, your entry will be cancelled automatically without any notice.

6. "On that day" registration is NOT accepted.

7. Closing date for entry is 1 June 2018. Please ensure FULL PAYMENT is made before the closing date. Payment received after the closing date will NOT be accepted. Therefore, all registrations without payment will be removed from our system.

8. Please note that Online Payment is process via our payment portal Your credit card statement may indicate iPay88/ and not CCS SportzEvent Management. If there is any dispute in the charge, your entry will be cancelled automatically.

9. Strictly NO CHANGES of name and race category after registration is completed. Please ensure your name, race category, t-shirt size are correct before submitting.

10. Registration is NOT TRANSFERABLE after completing the registration, regardless of any reasons whatsoever.

11. No refund of fee will be given to participants who do not eventually take part in the event for any reasons whatsoever.

12. Participants are strictly not allowed to transfer their race kit to any party to race on their behalf.

Kindly present your ID/Passport for identification purposes. You are NOT required to bring along your confirmation slip to collect your Race Entry Pack. 

For participants who are not able to collect the Race Entry Pack personally, may authorise someone to collect on your behalf. Please pass your Confirmation Slip with a written note and a signed waiver form to your representative to collect the Race Pack.

Participants who do not collect their Race Pack during the scheduled date and time will NOT be allowed to collect on the race day morning.

Rules & Regulations


  • Participants who completed the Online Registration agreed to abide by the rules and regulations of the event (PDIT2018) that has been signed up. 
  • The Organiser reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without assigning any reasons thereof. 
  • All participants are required to complete the Online Registration entry form with accurate and correct information. 
  • Once the registration is being processed, there will be NO REFUND for those who fail to show up for the race and/or withdraw from it.
  • The race registration will only confirm when full payment of the race entry fee has been made.
  • Race category or race entry is not transferable.
  • Stictly NO CHANGES of name and race category after registration is completed. Please check and ensure all details are correct before submitting.
  • On-the-spot entries will NOT be entertained.
  • Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure the participants' safety, participants partake in this event at their own risk and the Organiser shall not be liable for any bodily injuries, loss and/or damage to property, whether personal or otherwise, and howsoever arising.
  • Any dispute or protest against another participant or any violation in the Event shall be made in writing to the Organiser within 30 minutes of her/his finish time. A deposit of RM200 must be accompanied with the appropriate protest form. The deposit will be refunded if the protest is successful.
  • The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs or recordings of the participants for any commercial or advertising purposes for any commercial advertising including legitimate purpose.
  • The Race Director/Organising Committee decision is final. 
  • All participants should pick up their Race Packs and Goodie Bag on the On-Site Race Registration Day which has been designated. Those who are unable to collect their Race Packs on that day, have to inform the Organiser in advance. 
  • Participants can appoint a friend to collect their Race Packs should they are not able to be present personally.
  • There will be a Race Briefing conducted by the Organiser. First timer is encouraged to attend. However, all participants are required to download the E-Briefing (available soon) notes that contains important information, route map and guides for the event.
  • Participants are required to be body marked by the Race Officials. Kindly check the time schedule for body marking. Participants shall NOT apply any body lotion / oil / sun block before body marking. Participants also shall NOT do their warm up / wet their body before body marking. That will enable the body marking process to be smoothly run.
  • A grace period of 15 minutes after the commencement of the race will be given for latecomers. Anyone who reports later than this grace period will not be allowed to participate in the race. Latecomers should be aware that their timings would have commenced when the race begins.
  • A participant may be disqualified for the following reason(s):
  • (a) Refusing to follow the rules and regulations and /or instructions given by the Organiser and/or Race Officials.
  • (b) Consumption of alcohol, stimulants or any kind of prohibited drugs 24 hours before the race.
  • Any participants decided to withdraw from the race should report to the Race Officials.
  • The details on the reverse side of your RACE BIB must be filled in to enable us to contact your next-of-kin in case of emergency. 
  • The RFID Multisport Timing Tag is a loan item, all participants are responsible to return both the timing chip and strap to the organiser immediately after the race.
  • The RFID Multisport Timing Tag is the sole means of race timing measurement.
  • All participants in both the Individual and/or Relay category must ensure that their Timing Chips are securely strapped to their left or right ankle before beginning on any leg of the race.
  • The Organiser will not be responsible for any inaccuracy in participant's race timings due to improper wearing of Timing Chip.
  • Minimum age for Kids Race is 6 years of age on 31 Dec 2018 to compete in the race.
  • Minimum age for Sprint Race is 15 years of age on 31 Dec 2018 and Olympic Distance Race is 15 years of age on 31 Dec 2018 to compete in the race.
  • Cut off time for Sprint Race is 2 hours 30 mins.
  • Cut off time for Olympic Distance Race is 4 hours 30 mins. 


  • All swimmers must wear the swim caps provided by the Organiser.
  • All swimmers are required to wear proper swimming attire during the entire swimming course.
  • Fins, paddles, pool buoys, snorkels or any swimming aids are not allowed.
  • Wetsuits are not allowed.
  • Support crews are not allowed. Any assistance received during the swim will result in immediate disqualification (with the exception of medical aid).
  • No one is permitted in the swim course other than the participants and officials.
  • Swimmers in difficulty shall signal the safety boat/kayak for assistance.
  • Safety buoy is allowed but not compulsory. For those who are not so confident in open water swim or not a good swimmer, we encourage you to wear a safety buoy during the swim.


  • All participants are required to use their own bicycles, helmet and all attires for the race. Organiser will NOT provide any of these items to the participants if they did not bring.
  • All cyclists must wear a helmet during the entire cycling course. Any cyclist seen riding without a helmet will result in immediate disqualification.
  • All cyclists must ensure that their helmets are securely fastened before leaving the transition area.
  • All cyclist must ensure that their race numbers are clearly visible at the back of their cycling attires at all times.
  • Bare torso is not allowed at all times.
  • Participant may walk or run with their bicycles.
  • Support vehicles and crews are not permitted. Any assistance received during cycling will result in immediate disqualification (with exception of medical aid).
  • All cyclist are to keep to the left side of the road and are reminded to observe traffic rules at all times.
  • All participants will have to perform their own repairs if their bicycles should breakdown.
  • All participants are required to place their bicycles at the designated bicycle rack with their race numbers.
  • All participants are encouraged to have their bicycles checked before the race starts.


  • All runner must ensure that their race numbers are clearly visible both in front of their running attires at all times.
  • Bare torso is not allowed at all times.
  • Support vehicles or pacers are not allowed.


  • Each Relay team must consist of minimum 2 members and not more than 3.
  • Relay disciplines are non-transferable among the team members and is not replaceable by another person.
  • For the Mixed Relay Team, each team must consist of at least one member of the opposite sex. 
  • All participants in relay teams are responsible for passing their Timing Chip to their teammates at designated areas after completing their respective legs. Passing of Timing Chip outside of the designated area would result in immediate disqualification.  In other words, the swimmer will have to hand over the Timing Chip to the cyclist at the designated area before the cyclist collects his/her bike. The cyclist will have to rack his/her bike before handling over the Timing Chip to the runner at the designated area.


  • All bicycles racks are numbered according to the race numbers of every participants. 
  • All participants are required to place their bicycles at the designated bicycle rack with their race numbers.
  • A basket is provided by the Organizer to each participant to place their belongings tidily.
  • Participants must not interfere with another participants belongings.
  • Cycling is not permitted in the Transition Area. 


  • In the event of inclement weather, the Organizer reserves the right to delay the commencement of the race.
  • Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, the Organizer reserve the right to further delay or postpone the race without any refund of registration fees. 


  • Triathlon is a physically demanding sport. Therefore, if you are unsure of your physical health condition, please seek medical advice from a medical professional before your register for the race.
  • Participants are advised against the consumption of alcohol, stimulants or any kind of prohibited drugs 24-hours before the race.
  • Participants are to ensure that they are physically prepared, well-rested and well-hydrated on the race day.
  • Should a participant feels unwell in the course of the race, he/she should stop and seek immediate medical attention from the on-course ambulance or at the finishing area.
  • If a participant is deemed to be physically incapable of continuing the race eg. severe dehydration, dizzyness, fainting; the Race Officials and/or Medical Practitioner has the rights to remove him/her from continuing the race. The Organizer's decision is final in determining the removal/disqualification of the participant(s).

These Terms & Conditions of Entry must be agreed by all participants intending to compete in the Port Dickson International Triathlon 2018. Entry will not be considered final until the participant has indicated that agreement as evidenced by their electronic (as part of the registration requirements) or actual signature.

In consideration of, and as a condition of acceptance, my entry in the Port Dickson International Triathlon 2018 (the Event) for myself, my heirs, successors and assignees:

1. I hereby agree to the following terms & conditions of my participation in this event.
2. I acknowledge and agreed that my participation in the Event is entirely voluntary on my own.
3. I have read, understood and accepted the Rules and Regulations applicable to the Event.
4. I have been made fully aware of, and fully understand and acknowledge the risks involved in my participation in the Event. I accept full responsibility and assume all such risks.
5. I hereby represent and warrant undertake to Organisers the following with full knowledge that they shall be relied upon in accepting my participation:-
     a. My personal particulars disclosed herein are correct;
     b. I have no medical condition that would affect my safety and physical well being arising from my participation in this Event and that I am medically and physically fit and competent to participate in the Event;
     c. I shall dutifully and fully abide by the Rules and Regulations of this Event and any applicable laws.
6. I confirm that the representations, warranties and undertakings above are true and correct and I (and my heirs, successors and assignees) shall waive, release, discharge you from any  claim and undertake that I (and my heirs, successors and assignees) shall not make any claim or complaint whatsoever against the Organisers for any loss or damage or injury sustained by me, or for my death arising from, during or after the Event.
7. Further, I (and my heirs, successors and assignees) shall indemnify and hold the Organisers harmless from any claim, demand, proceeding, cost, expense, liability, loss or damage (whether direct or consequential) made by any third parties, arising from any injury or death or damage or loss to any property arising out of my breach of the representations, warranties and undertakings under Clause 5 herein. PROVIDED always that the Organisers shall be entitled in your sole and absolute discretion to disqualify me/us from the Event if I shall breach any of the representations, warranties and undertakings herein in any way whatsoever.
8. I declare to the best of my knowledge that I do not suffer from any of the following pre-existing medical conditions:
     a. Any cardiac or respiratory weakness or ailment;
     b. Epilepsy or any other neurological condition;
     c. Any orthopaedic or rheumatological complaint; or
     d. Any other complaint or condition which would involve a serious risk to any physical or mental health by my participation in the Event.
9. For the avoidance of doubt, in consideration of you accepting my entry into the Event, I hereby confirmed my agreement to waive any claim (to the extent permitted under the laws of Malaysia) which I (any of my heirs, successors and assignees) may otherwise be entitled to bring against the Organisers or your agents, employees, sponsors or contractors arising in any way our of my participation in the Event, including without limitation, any of the following:
     a. Any injury, illness or death caused by or associated with my participation in the Event;
     b. Any fainting or other physical or nervous reaction to alarm, shock or fright suffered during the Event, whether such reaction manifests itself either during or at any time after the Event; or
     c. The need for hospitalization or any form of paramedic or out-patient care which may arise from (a.) or (b.) above.
10. I accept that all the judges’ decisions with regards to the Event are final.
11. No person who is not a party to this Waiver shall have any right to enforce any of the terms herein.
I wish to enter this event and hereby agree to abide strictly by the terms and conditions. In consideration of the acceptance of my entry, I, my heirs, successors and assignees, do hereby unconditionally waive and release the Organisers, their sponsors, all officials, persons and agencies involved in this Event, from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, cost, expenses and whatsoever, that may arise from my participation, including without limitation, personal injury and death. I also certify that I am physically fit to participate in this Event.
