Kapas - Marang International Swimathon 2010 - REGISTRATION CLOSED

Finish : Pantai Peranginan Kelulut
Distance : 6.5km open sea swim

Registration Fee - RM80.00
All participants have to pay entry fee of RM80.00 by cash during registration at Marang Jetty. The fee includes 1-way boat transfer from Marang Jetty to Kapas Island on 17^th April 2010, dinner and breakfast at Kapas Island Resort and lunch at the finish venue.

Supporters have to purchase dinner and breakfast coupon from the resort counter.

T-shirts, finisher medal and certificate will be given at the finishing line to the finishers only.

Interested swimmers are required to register online, by fax or email.
(a) Online registration - login at the login panel and select the event desired and key in all details accordingly.

All participants are required to sign an Indemnity Form and hand over to race officials upon registration.

Boat Transfer
Date : 17^th April 2010 Time : 11.00am – 3.00pm
Boat transfer (1-way) from Marang Jetty to Kapas Island is complimentary for all participants.
All supporters have to purchase return boat transfer ticket at Marang Jetty at RM30.00 per person.

Race Briefing
Date : 17^th April 2010 Time : 5.30pm
Race briefing will be conducted by Race Director at 5.30pm on 17^th April 2010 at Foyer area at Kapas Island Resort. All participants are required to attend the briefing.

Dinner

Date : 17^th April 2010 Time : 7.00pm

Dinner begins at 7.00pm. Participants are required to present the dinner coupon upon entering the dinner area. No coupon, no dinner. Supporters are required to purchase dinner coupon at the hotel counter.

Breakfast

Date : 18^th April 2010 Time : 5.30am

Breakfast will be served from 5.30am to 6.30am for those who are staying at Kapas Island. Participants are required to present the breakfast coupon upon entering the breakfast area. No coupon, no breakfast. Supporters are required to purchase breakfast coupon at the hotel counter.

Body Marking & Reporting

Date : 18^th April 2010 Time : 6.15am

All participants are required to get their body marked and report to the race officials in the morning before race starts. Body marking will start at 6.15am – 7.00am.

Race Start and Cut-off Time

All participants are required to assemble at the beach in front of Kapas Island Resort by 7.15am. Race flag off at 7.30am sharp.

Cut-off time is 12.00noon sharp. For those participants who are still in the water after the cut-off time, the safety officials will take them out of the water. No appeal will be accepted. These participants will be disqualified from the race.

Safety Boat/Kayak

There will be safety officials all along the 6.5km course to ensure safety of all the participants to the finishing line.

The safety kayaks will provide drinking water for participant who needs drink. Participants are required to raise their hand

**Did Not Finish**

Participants who give up or did not finish the race are required to report to any of the Race Officials at the finishing line.

Bag Drop-off/Pick-up

All participants who wish to get their bags transferred to the finishing area will have to place their bags near the entrance of the jetty of Kapas Island Resort. Each bag has to be tagged with the bag number tag given in the race pack. One of the number tags will have to be kept by the participants themselves and to be presented to the guard upon collecting the bag at the bag pick-up room near the finishing area.

Shower Facilities

Shower facilities are available near the finishing area at Pantai Peranginan Kelulut.

Prize Presentation Ceremony

Prize presentation ceremony will be held at Pantai Peranginan Kelulut, Marang at 12.30pm.

Lunch

Lunch will be served near the finishing area after prize presentation ceremony.
